Remembering Margo

Margo Mensing
Margo Mensing, in tandem with her practice in fiber arts, treats words as material. Rather than speak of ‘voice,’ as is customary in poetry, we might refer to her ‘touch.’ A devoted craftsperson, she finds inspiration in constraints, often self-imposed.
In this way her work is experimental, but it also extends the lyric tradition.
When this artist touches the strings, we hear deeply felt music.
